Fatal Stoughton car crash death of David Dewey
Wisconsin authorities have confirmed the identification of the individual who lost their life following a serious motor vehicle collision. The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office formally identified the deceased as David Dewey, a 37-year-old resident of Janesville.
Initial post-collision examination results indicate Mr. Dewey’s death resulted from injuries received during the incident. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation reported that Mr. Dewey was operating a Chevrolet Blazer Sport Utility Vehicle at the time of the accident. This vehicle collided with a stationary semi-tractor trailer on the morning of Monday.
The collision, which happened approximately 5:50 a.m. near the intersection of I-39/90 and U.S. Highway 51, is currently being examined by Wisconsin State Patrol officials.
