Law enforcement officials have officially identified the individuals who lost their lives in a tragic incident that occurred in the Southeast region of Washington, D.C. The two victims, both adults, were discovered at a residence located on the 4600 block of G Street. One of them is Tiffany Montgomery, aged 38, and the other is Patrick Cockrell Jr., aged 43. Authorities were first dispatched to the scene in the early evening hours of July 12 for a call received just before 8:30 p.m.
Emergency responders found both individuals inside the dwelling, described as being unresponsive with no signs of breathing. Medical evidence revealed that they had sustained injuries from firearms. Despite attempts by fire and emergency medical services personnel to provide aid, the injuries proved fatal for both parties. The sequence of events led to their deaths, with investigations pointing to a conflict within a domestic relationship.
Preliminary findings from the police indicate that Patrick Cockrell was involved in a disagreement at home, during which he allegedly shot Tiffany Montgomery. According to the available information, Cockrell subsequently sustained injuries that appear to have been self-inflicted. This case is now being examined by specialized homicide investigators, and the official determination regarding the cause and manner of death must be confirmed by the medical examiner’s office.
