Fatal Germantown car crash death of Mary Elizabeth Moody
Authorities confirmed the identity of a woman killed after her vehicle rolled multiple times following a collision. The 71-year-old resident of Germantown was named Mary Elizabeth Moody.
Investigators with the Montgomery County Police Department detailed the incident that occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. on July 21. According to reports, Ms. Moody was operating a Subaru when she attempted to turn left onto Mateny Road. At that moment, another vehicle, a Mazda, collided with her car.
The force of the impact caused Ms. Moody’s vehicle to roll, throwing the woman from the car. She did not survive the injuries she sustained at the scene.
The driver of the Mazda, identified as a man, was transported to a hospital with significant but non-life-threatening injuries.
