Fatal Fort Worth car crash death of Daniel Ray Patton
Fort Worth authorities confirmed a man’s death and reported injuries to a woman and a child following a serious head-on collision Wednesday evening. The incident is under investigation.
Police arrived at approximately 8:30 p.m. to a major accident on Hodgkins Road in the northwest section of Fort Worth. According to witness accounts provided to responding officers, a pickup truck driver lost control and crossed into oncoming traffic for an unexplained reason, resulting in a collision with another vehicle.
The operator of the pickup truck died at the scene of the accident. Tarrant County Medical Examiner records have identified the deceased as 34-year-old Daniel Ray Patton.
A female driver and a young passenger from the other vehicle received medical attention at a nearby hospital. Law enforcement officials indicated the injuries suffered by these individuals were not thought to be life-threatening.
Traffic officials are currently examining the cause of this fatal crash.
