A 44-year-old man named Erasmus Laryea Quaye has been identified as the individual killed when multiple cars struck him while he was walking along State Highway 360 in Arlington on Friday, police confirmed.
According to information from the Tarrant County medical examiner, officers arrived at the scene shortly after dawn on Friday morning, finding the man deceased at the location. He was pronounced dead at 5:10 a.m.
Arlington police were dispatched following a caller’s report of a possible collision involving a person. Upon their arrival, they discovered a man lying in the main flow of traffic on the highway. The exact reason for his presence on the road before the multiple strikes remains unclear.
Further examination by authorities suggests that several vehicles traveled over the man after the initial impact. Police noted that any drivers who suspected they might have been involved stopped their cars and worked with investigators.
