Emergency services were dispatched to a train and vehicle collision on Wednesday morning. The incident happened on Indigo Avenue, located northwest of Osage, with the address in the 3800 block being the site of the accident. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the involved Ford Explorer was moving northbound and did not stop at the railway crossing. A train subsequently collided with the driver’s side of the vehicle.
The official crash report indicates that the driver, KENNETH WARRINGTON, who was 62 years old and lived in ST. ANSGAR, passed away at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
