The Roanoke Police Department announced on July 24th the identification of the man killed in a tragic vehicle accident that occurred in the city over the weekend. According to the department, emergency responders were dispatched shortly after midnight on July 20th to Shenandoah Avenue NW following reports of a severe collision. It was confirmed that the sole occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
Initial reports detailed that the driver’s automobile went off the roadway, striking two utility poles before impacting a tree. The Roanoke Police Department is currently conducting a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatality.
