Emmalee Jackman succumbs to injuries from a hit-and-run incident in Sylvania Township.
A fatal auto accident victim has been identified by officials in Sylvania Township.
The fatal motor vehicle collision occurred approximately at 12:20 a.m. on July 20th on the intersection of N. Holland-Sylvania Road and Huntingfield Boulevard. Law enforcement reports indicate that the 31-year-old woman, known as Emmalee Jackman, was operating an electric scooter along N. Holland-Sylvania Road when she was struck by an unknown driver of another vehicle, who then fled the scene. Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after the impact but were unable to save Jackman, who passed away at the location.
Family members of the deceased informed the news channel that Ms. Jackman was heading home from her job at Walmart that night. Colleagues who were aware of her passing erected a makeshift memorial on Holland-Sylvania Road as a tribute.
Described by her sibling, Jonathon Jackman, the deceased was a deeply compassionate person who cherished animals and was always eager to lend a helping hand. He expressed that she was a much-loved member of the community.
