Darcy Reynolds dies in fatal Fruitland car crash
Fatal Fruitland car crash death of Darcy Reynolds
Fruitland authorities announced the identification of a female resident, Darcy Reynolds, who lost her life in a multi-car collision on US Highway 95. The incident occurred Monday evening, approximately eleven o’clock, when Reynolds crossed the highway’s central divider and collided directly with a pickup truck. According to state law enforcement, the truck was operated by a young driver with two teenage companions occupying the rear seats.
Investigators confirmed that the Dodge Ram 1500’s occupants experienced minor injuries, with only one requiring hospital transportation. However, Darcy Reynolds, despite wearing a seatbelt, was airlifted to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise where she succumbed to severe blunt force trauma by early morning Tuesday. The preliminary report from the Ada County Coroner’s Office detailed her passing.
Separate reports from the Idaho State Police indicated that the occupants of the Dodge Ram, including the driver, were secured by their seatbelts, though the truck’s operator was not. The scene of the accident resulted in the temporary closure of southbound traffic and a single northbound lane for more than two hours due to the wreckage and the subsequent medical transport.
Law enforcement agencies, including the Idaho State Police and the local Payette Police Department, are currently examining the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
