Fatal Minehead car crash death of Oliver Price

The proceedings for Oliver’s official inquiry commenced, revealing that the 10-year-old boy passed away due to severe head trauma. According to reports from the initial session of the inquiry at the Somerset Coroner’s Court, located in Wells Town Hall, Rod Minchin from PA News Network authored the report.

The coach transporting the boy left the A396 main road at Cutcombe Hill, which is situated near Minehead, in Somerset. This happened on Thursday last week when the vehicle slid down a slope that was approximately 20 feet high.

Further examination of the accident details indicates it occurred between Wheddon Cross and Timberscombe at roughly 3:15 pm on July 17th. The coach departed the roadway, overturned, and ended up about 20 feet down a steep incline.

An individual who was not on duty at the time but happened to be a firefighter was driving behind the coach and promptly began the rescue efforts for the passengers.

The transportation was en route back to Minehead Middle School, carrying between 60 and 70 students and school personnel. This journey followed a visit to Exmoor Zoo, an excursion planned before the conclusion of the academic term.
