Emergency personnel reported that the 22-year-old native of Newcomerstown, Ohio, was driving along U.S. 30 when she rear-ended a large semi-truck because she didn’t stop at a traffic signal. This serious collision took place around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday at the junction of U.S. 30 and W County Line Road. The unfortunate event transpired at approximately 3:30 in the early morning hours. The driver of the commercial truck was not reported to be injured. After receiving medical attention at the accident site, Murphy was pronounced deceased. County officials have stated that this is the 25th fatal traffic incident recorded in Allen County this year.
