Law enforcement authorities reported that a fatality occurred Thursday when a military personnel assigned to Camp Lejeune in North Carolina was implicated in a fatal traffic collision. The incident transpired on westbound Interstate 40 near mile marker 287, prompting an investigation by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
