Witnesses contacted emergency services early Tuesday morning following a serious collision at the Chopsey Hill Road and Indian Avenue intersection, according to local law enforcement. Police officials indicated that two people were inside the vehicle involved in the incident.
First responders, including police, fire departments, and medical personnel, quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance to those inside the car. They administered aid before transporting the injured individuals to a nearby hospital.
The passenger in the vehicle, later confirmed as Butler, did not survive his severe injuries. He was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital, where medical staff informed authorities of his death.
The driver, identified as another 22-year-old male, sustained only minor injuries during the collision. He was treated on the scene before being released.
Preliminary investigation reports suggest the car, traveling westbound on Chopsey Hill Road, lost control and veered onto the curb. It subsequently hit a utility pole and rolled multiple times before coming to rest at the intersection.
