Fatal Algiers shooting death of Thurmon Joseph
Thurmon Joseph, who was thirty-three years old, was identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office on Thursday after being found deceased near dawn Wednesday, in Algiers.
New Orleans police located the body of Joseph in the 3500 block of General De Gaulle Drive shortly before two in the morning.
According to the investigation, Joseph was shot in the 1300 block of Southlawn Boulevard. He was then transported approximately one mile to General De Gaulle Drive, which is where police were first alerted to the situation.
