Fatal Shreveport car crash death of Joshua Pyle
A fatality occurred following a severe collision on LA 3132 eastbound early Saturday morning. According to Caddo Coroner’s Office records, 38-year-old Joshua Pyle from Kilgore, Texas, was the individual who lost his life in the incident.
Shreveport Police reported that Joshua Cochran was operating a Jeep Gladiator in the wrong direction when the vehicle struck a Ford F-250 around 4:43 a.m. The impact severely damaged the Ford, causing the Jeep to overturn and subsequently catch fire.
Initial response was provided by a Shreveport Police sergeant who managed to rescue a female occupant from the burning Jeep. Joshua Pyle was transported to Ochsner LSU Medical Center, but unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
Joshua Cochran and another passenger from the Jeep were also taken to the hospital for treatment. Law enforcement noted indications of impairment related to Joshua Cochran. Charges of vehicular homicide and first-degree negligent injury have been filed against him. The authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this fatal accident.
