Fatal Salado car crash death of Robert Martin
Salado, Texas (FOX 44) – The victim in the fatal crash that took place in Salado on Sunday morning has been identified as Robert Martin.
The Bell County Sheriff’s Office reported receiving a 9-1-1 call about a traffic accident around 3:25 a.m. The collision happened on Interstate 35 at the Farm to Market 2484 overpass. A commercial truck and a passenger car were involved.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2020 Toyota RAV passenger car driven by 24-year-old Robert Martin of Dallas was heading north on Interstate 35. The investigation showed Mr. Martin hit a deer, causing his vehicle to break down in the northbound lanes.
A delivery truck, moving north on I-35, rear-ended the Toyota, sending it through the median into the southbound traffic.
