Fatal Colorado Springs car crash death of Peter “Pedro†Sanchez
Law enforcement officials have confirmed the identity of the individual killed in a traffic incident last month. The Colorado Springs Police Department officially identified Peter “Pedro†Sanchez, aged 64, as the fatality resulting from the collision. This announcement was made in a statement released on Monday.
The accident occurred on July 3rd around 8:30 p.m. at the busy intersection of Constitution Avenue and Tutt Boulevard. Police were called to the scene to investigate a multi-vehicle crash involving three automobiles.
According to the preliminary report, a white Nissan sedan was traveling eastbound on Constitution Avenue when it attempted a left turn onto Tutt Boulevard, heading north. As this maneuver was being executed, the vehicle was hit by another car, a green Toyota, which was moving westbound on Constitution Avenue.
Following the initial impact, the disabled white Nissan sedan collided with a third vehicle. Two individuals involved in the collision were taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Tragically, the driver of the white Nissan, who was Peter “Pedro†Sanchez, passed away in the hospital on July 18th.
The Major Crash Team from the Colorado Springs Police Department continues to examine the details of this unfortunate event. This incident represents the 30th traffic-related fatality in Colorado Springs during the year 2025 and marks the 49th such tragedy in the city over the past year.
