Brendon Ely, a 20-year-old, passed away in the hospital early Tuesday following the death of his girlfriend, Kyra Hayes. The incident was a tragic shooting.
The Baker Police Department confirmed that Brendon Ely shot Kyra Hayes, who was 24 years old, at a residence on Tristian Avenue on Monday morning.
Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. Ely was transported to a nearby medical facility and succumbed to his injuries later that day, around 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
Law enforcement officers responding to the location informed WBRZ that the shooting incident had domestic violence as its origin. At this time, no further information regarding the specifics of the situation was released.
