Fatal Longbranch car crash death of Dustin Jones
A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle on a dark stretch of road lacking streetlights on the Key Peninsula. The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased as Dustin Jones, aged 49. According to an official report released by the medical examiner’s office, Jones met his demise near the 1700 block of Lake Drive Southwest in the city of Longbranch on the 26th day of July. It is currently unknown where he resided within the region. The preliminary determination regarding the reasons and classification of his death are currently under investigation. This report stated that the driver involved reached out around 1:15 in the early morning hours of the 26th of July, indicating they had inadvertently collided with an individual who was stationary on Lake Drive Southwest and 188th Avenue Southwest. Following the collision, both the driver and a person who happened to pass by the scene made valiant efforts to provide emergency assistance. Medical personnel, including fire service units, subsequently arrived at the location and initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Regrettably, despite these life-saving measures, Mr. Jones succumbed to his grievous injuries.
