Local authorities have confirmed that Kyler Swaim was the person killed in a serious accident occurring on Highway 412 westbound in Siloam Springs. According to the official traffic report, the collision happened on Wednesday.
The account details that at approximately 11:30 a.m., a 2010 model Traverse van crossed onto the main highway and did not give way to vehicles going in the opposite direction. To avoid a direct collision with this van, a large eighteen-wheel truck moved into the left lane. In doing so, it collided with the side of the Traverse.
After the eighteen-wheeler hit the van, it subsequently crashed into a 2019 Equinox car. Following this impact, the big truck left the roadway and came to a stop on the northern side of the road.
One other individual involved in the accident was seriously injured alongside the deceased, making three people hurt in total according to the documentation. The report also notes that a fourth vehicle was involved, but provides no further details about its role in the incident.
Weather conditions at the time of the accident were reported as clear and dry by the investigating officers.
