Texas conservation officers have officially documented the passing of a man after his jet boat met with a serious incident on Lake O’ the Pines within Marion County on Saturday. This is the required information. A late development indicates a missing elderly resident, 88 years of age, was located deceased in Nacogdoches County.
The authorities are conducting an ongoing probe into the cause of the fatal accident. Officials report the jet boat was involved in a competitive activity led by the Lake O’ the Pines Chamber of Commerce at the Hurricane Creek Recreation Area. The specific event occurring that afternoon was the 9th year of the Squirtin’ in the Pines boat racing event. This happened at approximately 3:40 p.m. tragically.
Investigation is currently underway by the game wardens regarding the jet boat crash. Rescue personnel from Bowie County, specifically a dive team, were involved in the operation to retrieve the disabled craft from the water, successfully removing the jet boat on Sunday.
