Fatal Apache Junction car crash death of Briana Cisick
The authorities have officially confirmed the identity of the individual who was killed after being hit by a police vehicle on U.S. 60 close to Apache Junction.
According to the Pinal County Medical Examiner’s Office, the woman who passed away in the July 28th collision was identified as 33-year-old Briana Cisick. The Arizona Department of Transportation reported that this unfortunate incident happened around 4 a.m. near South Silly Mountain Road on the eastbound side of U.S. 60.
ADOT confirmed that the pedestrian was involved in an accident with a Hayden Police vehicle, which is also referred to as a Ford Explorer by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Details from DPS spokesperson Bart Graves indicate that the woman was walking and entered the road near milepost marker 200, subsequently being struck by the officially marked police vehicle.
As of the afternoon of August 1st, the medical examiner’s office has not yet determined the specific cause and manner of Ms. Cisick’s death.
