Fatal Nashville car crash death of Raquel Lorena Sarabia Barajas
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Division has officially named the individual who lost their life in a severe head-on collision involving a Maserati vehicle over the past weekend.
Identified as 37-year-old Raquel Lorena Sarabia Barajas was the passenger in the other car involved in the unfortunate incident on Bell Road on Sunday morning.
Legal proceedings have commenced against the driver of the Maserati SQ4.
According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Division, this individual, Julio Ceasar Herrera Gonzalez, aged 36, crossed into the opposing lane of traffic at the intersection of Bell Road and Harris Hills Lane, causing the head-on collision with a Nissan Rogue.
The collision occurred around 3:25 a.m. Officials stated that Mr. Gonzalez, who suffered only minor injuries, displayed indications of being under the influence at the medical facility.
Upon his departure from the hospital, it is reported that charges will be filed against Mr. Gonzalez, which may include vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, driving under the influence, and driving without a valid license.
