The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office officially identified the individual who lost his life in a violent incident in the Birmingham area last week on Monday morning. The deceased is identified as Taevon Jamir Arnold, a 31-year-old male. According to official reports, Arnold was the target of a shooting that occurred on August 8 in the 1400 block of 1st Avenue North. He along with another person involved in the event were taken from the scene to UAB Hospital for medical care. Regrettably, Arnold did not survive his injuries. Local law enforcement confirmed that an individual connected to the shooting was placed under arrest over the weekend. The authorities are appealing to the public for any additional information that could assist with the ongoing investigation.
