Johnny Givens, 27, Dies in Fatal Colorado Springs Crash
Colorado Springs officials announced that Johnny Givens has been identified as the person killed in a serious traffic accident on Drennan Road on Saturday, July 19th. This information was provided by the Colorado Springs Police Department.
According to police reports, emergency services were called to the 4100 block of Drennan Road around 11:00 p.m. on that date. There, responders discovered a motorcycle had overturned, ejecting its operator. Medical personnel arrived but were unable to save the individual, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
An ongoing investigation by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office revealed that the motorcyclist was traveling at excessive speed and lost control, specifically failing to properly navigate a roundabout. This led to the fatal collision. The coroner completed an autopsy and officially identified the deceased as Johnny Givens on July 21st.
Official statistics from the Colorado Springs Police Department indicate this incident represents the 31st traffic fatality in the city during the year 2025. This number matches the count observed for the same period in the previous year, 2024.
