Amber Enlow dies in fatal El Paso County suicide
Fatal El Paso County suicide death of Amber Enlow
El Paso County officials have confirmed the identity of the deceased woman as 33-year-old Amber Enlow, who passed away after being discovered in a state of unresponsiveness within her detention area earlier in the week, as detailed in a statement released by the Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday.
Enlow was taken into custody on Thursday and formally accused of carrying items associated with drug use, driving while her authorization was revoked, and operating a vehicle that was not properly registered, according to the daily documentation from the Sheriff’s Office. Her arrest occurred on July 31, and she was charged with the same types of violations at that time.
At approximately 5:40 a.m. on Friday, Enlow was found unresponsive in her prison cell, and medical staff later determined she had died, as reported by the Sheriff’s Office. The official account indicated no signs of criminal activity or self-inflicted harm. Sheriff Joe Roybal has directed a thorough examination of the events surrounding her death.
A sibling of the deceased has begun a legal action against two healthcare professionals, arguing that their inadequate supervision was a contributing factor in her passing while she was confined at the El Paso County Jail.
