Fatal Oklahoma City shooting death of Devonta Mims
Oklahoma City law enforcement identified the individual who lost their life during a violent incident which took place on August 9th. According to information released by the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers were dispatched to a specific apartment complex located in the Northeast area, near NE 6th Street and Stonewall Avenue. This dispatch occurred during the late afternoon hours.
When the responding officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Devonta Mims, who was 28 years old, suffering from several serious injuries caused by gunfire. Emergency medical services were immediately summoned, and Mims was transported to a hospital in the vicinity. Despite the medical attention received at the facility, he unfortunately did not survive his injuries.
Further investigation revealed that Mims was engaged in a disagreement with a female individual at the location. During this confrontation, the individual responsible for his death was determined to be a third party, who discharged a firearm. As is standard procedure for such cases, the matter has been forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office. Officials with the office will now review the evidence and decide whether charges against the suspected shooter should be formally filed.
