Rochester police have confirmed the identity of the man killed in a fatal shooting incident that occurred on the premises of 24 Mazda Terrace over the weekend. The incident involved Maurice Streeter, a 44-year-old resident of Rochester.
According to Captain Frank Umbrino of the Rochester Police Department, Streeter was pronounced dead at Strong Memorial Hospital following emergency medical services response to the scene on Friday, August 15. Emergency responders were dispatched to the location around 9 p.m. and found Streeter on the front porch with multiple gunshot wounds. He was a known resident of Mazda Street.
Preliminary information gathered by investigators indicates that Streeter was present on the property alongside at least one other individual when a disagreement began. This argument reportedly escalated into a violent confrontation, culminating in the fatal shooting. Police are continuing their investigation into the homicide and have not yet filed charges.
