Officials confirmed four fatalities, including two minors, on the Ohio Turnpike this morning. According to reports from CBS affiliate WOIO, citing the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at mile marker 82 in Sandusky County around 4:40 a.m.

The victims were involved in a tractor-trailer collision with a sign, as stated by law enforcement. WOIO reported that Rolando Torres Lebron, who was 27, and Ayeisha Morales, aged 23, lost their lives in the accident. The identities of the two children killed have not been released yet.

Initial reports indicate Torres Lebron was operating the westbound tractor-trailer. He reportedly collided with the driver of a Ford F-450 pickup truck, causing his vehicle to strike a concrete barrier. Following this, the truck moved back towards the opposite lane and impacted a support pole.

The driver of the Ford F-450 experienced injuries that were not immediately life-threatening, though the severity was not specified at the time. Law enforcement agencies are conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident. It is noted that Torres Lebron was from Buffalo, New York.
