Fatal Cherokee County car crash death of Krevantez Pye Jr.
A forty-one-year-old man lost his life on Sunday evening following a serious traffic accident in Cherokee County. According to reports, Krevantez Pye Jr., who resided in Wylie, was operating his vehicle northbound on U.S. Highway 69 when he inadvertently left his lane. This resulted in a collision with a culvert structure, causing the car to become airborne and overturn multiple times. Subsequently, the individual was thrown from the vehicle. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported the incident occurred approximately at 6:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 69, situated near the intersection with County Road 2701, which is located to the south of Alto.
Officials confirmed that Pye was pronounced deceased at the accident scene.
