Fatal Owings Mills car crash death of Patricia Cook
Baltimore County authorities are examining the situation following a deadly accident in the Owings Mills region on Saturday. The incident resulted in the death of a woman identified as Patricia Cook.
Emergency personnel from the Baltimore County Police and local paramedics arrived at the intersection of New Town Boulevard and Middle Mill Drive around midday on August 17th. They discovered the driver of a 2019 Honda Fit, Patricia Cook, trapped within her car. Medical examiners confirmed her death at the scene.
Investigators from the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team have concluded that the driver of a Jeep involved in the collision was traveling northbound on New Town Boulevard at a speed that appeared excessive. This collision happened while Patricia Cook attempted to turn left from Middle Mill Drive into New Town Boulevard.
The operator of the Jeep, a 16-year-old who was not licensed to drive, initially deserted the accident scene but eventually returned, possibly with family assistance, to face any potential charges.
The Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team is currently examining the circumstances surrounding this fatal collision.
