Fatal Chicago car crash death of DeAir Williams
State police reported that a single-car vehicle rolled multiple times on the Dan Ryan Expressway Saturday morning. The serious incident occurred on the northbound portion of I-94 leading to the 130th Street exit.
The driver at the time of the accident was Daja Williams, aged 27. Alongside her were two passengers in the vehicle. Tragically, one passenger did not survive the collision. That deceased passenger was identified as DeAir Williams, who was 26 years old and resided in Chicago.
Daja Williams was taken into custody on Monday. She faces two felony charges resulting from the incident: causing death through aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol and reckless homicide.
