The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has confirmed the identity of the deceased as 23-year-old Cody A. Dawkins. According to information released by ALEA, Mr. Dawkins met his demise shortly before the 10:00 a.m. hour when the motor vehicle he was piloting departed the roadway and collided with a tree.
Emergency medical services discovered the wreckage situated on Meriwether Road, near Tibbee Lane. This location is within the county boundaries, positioned approximately six miles south of the city limits of Montgomery.
