His uncle, Ezell Humphrey Grant, expressed profound grief, describing the act as completely unjustified and pointless. “He tried to resolve the conflict by speaking calmly, but it was all in vain,” Grant stated. “This senseless violence should not have happened, and we need accountability to bring some closure.”
