Fatal LEMOORE car crash death of Marisa GOMEZ
Kings County authorities confirmed the identity of the female driver involved in a fatal collision on Lemoore’s 16th Avenue and Lacey Boulevard. The Kings County Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday that 21-year-old Marisa GOMEZ, a local resident of Lemoore, was the individual killed during the incident on August 17th.
The collision occurred in the vicinity of 16th Avenue and Lacey Boulevard at approximately 11:15 a.m. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2023 model Hyundai Santa Cruz, heading westbound on Lacey Boulevard, reached the intersection with 16th Avenue. Sheriff’s reports indicate that Marisa GOMEZ, operating a 2024 Ford Mustang and proceeding southbound on 16th Avenue, failed to reduce speed sufficiently and entered the intersection when right of way was required.
