Fatal Chilton County car crash death of Johnny Mims
A man identified as Johnny Mims, who was 29 years old and from the city of Jemison, died as a result of a vehicle accident, local news reports indicate. The incident happened in Chilton County. Authorities from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported that Mims was operating a 2002 model GMC Yukon vehicle.
The fatal accident took place on Wednesday during the afternoon. According to the agency, the driver lost control of the vehicle and caused it to depart the road, subsequently flipping the car onto its side. An initial report suggested that Mr. Mims was not secured by a seatbelt system at the time of the collision. Because he was not restrained, he was thrown from the motor vehicle upon impact.
Emergency medical services personnel arrived at the scene near the intersection of Chilton County 24 and 375 roads shortly after the crash occurred at approximately 12:08 PM. Unfortunately, they found Mr. Mims already deceased before transporting him to receive medical attention. The unfortunate incident happened at this specific location.
