The prison management company, CoreCivic, confirmed the death was the result of an inmate attack. Details surrounding the incident were shared through a statement issued by the company. Correctional officers discovered Pendleton’s body at approximately 9:37 a.m. Mountain time. Emergency medical procedures were promptly initiated by the prison staff.
