Maddex Fiesta dies in fatal Ewa Beach car crash
Fatal Ewa Beach car crash death of Maddex Fiesta
The Honolulu medical examiner officially identified the deceased as Maddex Fiesta, a 15-year-old, earlier this week. According to the examiner’s report, the teenager’s death resulted from a severe impact to his head, classified as blunt force trauma.
The incident occurred Wednesday morning at roughly 7:45 a.m. at the junction of Kolowaka Drive and Fort Weaver Road in Ewa Beach. Police stated that Fiesta was operating an electric motorbike when he crossed the street in a designated crosswalk area. However, he was crossing against a traffic signal that prohibited pedestrian movement at that time.
Investigators said the 75-year-old driver of the other vehicle was operating a standard automobile. After the collision, emergency services rushed to the scene and transported the injured teenager to a local hospital. Despite the prompt medical attention, the hospital informed authorities that his condition deteriorated and he was pronounced deceased.
Further examination by investigators revealed that Fiesta was not equipped with a helmet during the accident. This finding is now part of the ongoing case review by local law enforcement.
