Clay Monsanto and Kelvin Mosquea Pass Away in Bronx Shooting Incident
Two individuals have died following a fatal shooting in the Bronx, with four people sustaining injuries from separate incidents occurring over the course of the day, according to law enforcement officials.
The fatalities involved two men, both shot down near their respective homes. One victim, identified as 32-year-old Clay Monsanto, was struck by gunfire to the posterior at Anthony Avenue shortly after 8:10 in the morning. The other deceased, Kelvin Mosquea, aged 34, was shot through the chest just before 1:30 in the afternoon outside his residence on Croes Avenue.
Additionally, a delivery worker for Amazon, a 31-year-old man employed with the company, was shot while on duty, though he did not lose his life. The injury occurred at Bryant and East Tremont avenues, affecting his lower leg, and he was taken to a hospital in a stable health condition while still in the West Farms region.
Another shooting took place approximately 3:30 in the afternoon at Adams Place and East 182nd Street in Belmont. A 26-year-old male was wounded by a bullet in the limb and was treated in a medical facility, also in stable condition.
Earlier, during the late afternoon, shots were discharged on a basketball court located near Throop Avenue, but no one was harmed as a result of that incident.
No suspects have been apprehended by police as of yet in connection with these multiple firearm discharges.
