Portland police have identified the individual killed in a recent fatal accident on Route 17 as Abigail Rose Mann, a 29-year-old woman from Meriden. Portland police officer Paul Liseo confirmed Mann as the victim of the Saturday incident.

The other two individuals involved in the collision, who were in a separate automobile at the time, received medical attention at a hospital but were expected to fully recover from their injuries.

Prior to the fatal occurrence, Mann was reportedly involved in an interaction with law enforcement in Glastonbury. According to police reports, she departed the scene after officers attempted to communicate with her. The pursuit was brief and was stopped when Mann became responsive in her Toyota Camry. Authorities stated she drove away despite being instructed to stop by the officer.

The fatal accident happened near Overlook Court around 11:45 a.m. Officials stated Mann lost control of her vehicle before colliding head-on with a Honda Pilot that was crossing her path.

Emergency medical services pronounced Mann deceased at the scene.

Glastonbury police authorities refrained from offering additional details or releasing visual evidence related to their encounter with Mann until further notice.
