Fatal Phoenix car crash death of Camden Allen Riedy
Phoenix authorities have confirmed the death of a man involved in a serious motor vehicle collision late on Tuesday afternoon. Officials arrived at the intersection of 22nd Street and Campbell Avenue at approximately 5:22 p.m. on August 26 to investigate a reported accident.
Upon their arrival, police discovered an injured male motorcyclist, later identified as Camden Allen Riedy, receiving emergency medical care. Despite these efforts, Riedy, who was 21 years old, succumbed to his injuries following transport to a local hospital. The other vehicle involved, a sedan, was driven by a female occupant who chose to remain at the scene.
Preliminary findings by investigators indicate no signs of substance impairment were present. The initial report suggests Riedy may have made an improper lane movement when passing the sedan, while both vehicles were traveling westbound on Campbell Avenue. The female driver was reportedly attempting a right turn onto 22nd Street at the time of the incident.
