The Ada County Coroner’s Office has officially identified the motorcyclist who died following an incident on West Lemhi Street near Vista Avenue. According to local authorities, the death was attributed to medical issues that led to the collision.
Davis, a 69-year-old resident of Boise, was declared deceased on Tuesday, August 19, 2024. Emergency medical services were unable to revive the man after finding him unresponsive on his motorcycle.
Coroner’s officials have stated that the preliminary cause and method of death remain under examination. Initial probes by the Boise Police Department suggest Davis was crossing Vista Avenue when he experienced an unexpected medical situation while heading west on Lemhi Street.
Police records indicate the motorcycle left the roadway during this event. Despite the rider’s attempts to regain control, the motorcycle stopped on the side of the road. Both the fire department and paramedics conducted emergency procedures at the location but were unsuccessful in saving the man.
Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
