A 41-year-old man, Charles Mifsud, recently passed away, succumbing to fatal electrocution near Żebbuġ. His demise happened close to Golden Bay on Wednesday.
Mr. Mifsud was working on an electricity pole when electrocution occurred, leading to his fall into a nearby ditch. It is currently unknown what specific task he was performing at that moment. The unfortunate accident took place on Wednesday at approximately 12:30 pm, near the Palma road close to Golden Bay. Emergency services, specifically the Civil Protection Department and ambulance personnel, provided assistance, but despite their efforts, Mr. Mifsud passed away in the hospital.
