Officials reported that a Coral Springs man, Jeffrey Evans, was arrested subsequent to the discovery of his wife, Jessica Lloyd, who was found unresponsive in a canal. This incident occurred on Monday evening.
Jessica Lloyd was located floating in the canal located near the 9900 block of Northwest 15th Court. This discovery happened approximately 9 p.m. Monday, according to police information.
Emergency medical services personnel attempted to administer life-saving treatment. Despite these efforts, when Jessica Lloyd was transported to Broward Health Coral Springs, she was confirmed deceased.
During the ongoing investigation into Jessica Lloyd’s death, authorities discovered that a domestic violence incident had previously involved her and her husband, Jeffrey Evans, who is 43 years old. Consequently, Evans was arrested on charges including simple battery related to domestic violence.
Coral Springs Police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding Jessica Lloyd’s death.
