Fatal Provincetown death of Michael Matar
The Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office confirmed that the individual whose body was discovered near Provincetown Municipal Airport on Sunday was Michael Matar.
Matar was reported missing to Provincetown police on August 22, initiating a large-scale search effort involving multiple agencies. State Police AirWing eventually located the body near Hatches Harbor Trail early Sunday morning and alerted ground investigators.
