Fatal Rolling Hills shooting death of Myung Chun

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating the death of Myung Chun, alongside her daughter Christine Chun and her sister She Chun. The incident appears to be a murder-suicide.

The tragic discovery occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday in the 100 block of Crest Road, situated near Crenshaw Boulevard. Initially, law enforcement responded to a report from a woman who called the Lomita Sheriff’s Station, alerting them to the scene. This woman informed authorities she had found her sister and father deceased inside their residence. Subsequently, when sheriff’s deputies entered the dwelling during their investigation, they identified a second female body.

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, the three victims were identified as Myung Chun, aged 69, Christine Chun, aged 40, and She Chun, aged 70. Autopsy results confirmed that all three sustained fatal gunshot wounds to the head.

Preliminary investigative findings suggest the deaths are linked to a domestic violence-related murder-suicide situation. Authorities emphasized that there was no ongoing threat to the public safety at this time.
