Barbara Neal and James Neal have died in a fatal Carroll County fire.
The fatal fire in Carroll County claimed the life of Barbara Neal and left James Neal hospitalized.
Carroll County authorities confirmed that Barbara Neal, aged 66, was the female victim, and James Neal, 72, was the male victim, according to family members.
James Neal is still inpatient at Grady Memorial Hospital.
A reporter from Channel 2 was present on Daniel Road following the incident during Tuesday’s broadcast.
Aerial footage from NewsChopper 2 showed the remnants of the property, which were described as nothing more than rubble and ash.
Witnesses reported that the flames were extremely intense and spread rapidly, making it impossible for them to enter the burning structure. They were forced to observe the scene from their backyard, unable to offer assistance.
Neighbors expressed shock and helplessness, highlighting the swift and fierce nature of the blaze.
