Fatal Berkeley County car crash death of Andre Myers

Andre Myers, a 22-year-old man, lost his life in a serious motor vehicle collision which occurred on Saturday. This incident was linked to an attempt by the driver to avoid members of the law enforcement agency. The fatal accident happened approximately at 12:45 a.m. near the Cainhoy Village Road area.

Mr. Myers was the only passenger occupying the vehicle involved in the accident. Following the crash, emergency medical services transported him to East Cooper Medical Center. Regrettably, he was declared deceased at the medical facility. According to the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office, the fatal injuries resulted from the vehicle striking a utility pole and subsequently crashing into a tree after being forced off the Clements Ferry Road roadway.

Sergeant Brandon Bolt from the South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that the subject of the investigation was attempting to elude officers at the time of the incident. Despite the investigation, no official statement has been released detailing the events that triggered the pursuit.
