Fatal Kansas City shooting death of Stephonne M. Jones
The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department has launched a homicide investigation concerning an incident in the 5200 block of Euclid Avenue.
According to reports, law enforcement received a dispatch around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday indicating possible gunfire in the area. Before they arrived, the nature of the incident was clarified to involve a shooting.
Upon their arrival, responding officers discovered an adult female individual who had become unresponsive, exhibiting injuries consistent with being shot. Medical professionals at the scene confirmed that the individual was deceased.
Stephonne M. Jones, reported to be 48 years old, was identified as the victim by the authorities.
