Fatal shooting death of Yudaisy Salgueiro and Javier Albriza Jara

Miami-Dade law enforcement identified two victims killed in a high-speed shootout at the Monte Carlo Apartments on Northwest 72nd Avenue, a location bordering State Road 836. The deadly confrontation took place around 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Officials confirmed that Yudaisy Salgueiro, a 46-year-old woman, was located on the ground floor near the building’s entrance with clear signs of being shot. Emergency medical services transported her to a nearby hospital where her condition was described as critical.

Shortly after arriving at the apartment complex, deputies received directions from witnesses pointing towards the fourth-floor apartment where Javier Albriza Jara, a 50-year-old man, was discovered deceased inside his unit. Security cameras captured images of multiple officers entering the building in specialized gear during the incident.

The investigation revealed an exchange of gunfire between law enforcement officers and Jara, though the exact sequence of events and the number of officers involved remain under examination. To date, authorities have not determined if Salgueiro and Jara were connected.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is now taking over the investigation according to standard procedures for such incidents.
